What are the benefits of using RSS?
RSS is an easy way to keep up with your favorite Forums and Communities without having to visit them individually. A list of recent discussions are delivered to your RSS reader that lets you scan the headlines and jump into the discussion with a single click.

What do I need to use RSS?
You need a special news reader or aggregator that collects and displays RSS feeds from your favorite Forums and Communities, as well as Websites. There are three varieties of RSS readers: 1) standalone programs that run on their own; 2) plug-ins that work inside your Web browser; and 3) Web-based readers that do not need any special program or plug-in.
Where do I get a reader and how much does it cost?

Do Community RSS Feeds Work With Macs?
Yes, keeping up with your favorite Forums and Communities is just as easy and convenient on Macs. Many OS X Web browsers, like Safari, Firefox, OmniWeb, and Opera, have built-in RSS readers. In Tiger (10.4), you can also install a free RSS newsreader widget for your Dashboard. Highly acclaimed and its Lite version are standalone RSS readers with powerful functions.
Web-based RSS readers like MyAOL Feeds (Beta) are, of course, compatible with most current Mac Web browsers.
How often are the RSS feeds updated?
In some RSS readers, you can customize how often the reader retrieves new feeds. Forum and Community RSS feeds are updated hourly.
